It’s a well known fact that The Sun or News of The World (who is owned by the same people) are great sources for false information, but I couldn’t let this pass.
Whilst some parts cannot either be confirmed nor denied, there are at least three parts where information about Susan Boyle has been manipulated. You can find the article here: Boyle Fatigue.
1) The first image in the article has the caption “BEATEN: Glum Susan faces up to defeat on last night’s show”.
Wrong! Susan made that face after it was announced she had been picked as one of the three winners (as if it was a surprise anyway). In fact, she cheered the winners and it’s been reported she was even more gracious backstage.
2) “Susan was even BOOED by a small section of the TV audience last night.”
This is tricky. Susan was only booed when judge Piers Morgan said that he wasn’t suppose to favour anyone and be impartial and choose Susan to win. This understandably drew boos from family, friends and fans of other acts (some of whom had not even appeared yet for Piers to make such a bold statement).
And finally …
3) ” … she let rip with a foul-mouthed tirade against two fans and had to be calmed down by police.”
These so called “two fans” were, according to a spokesman, “two journalists” (probably from The Sun) and that they were “harrasing her” and leaving her distressed. The journalists were then removed from the building by the police. Of course, none of this is mentioned in the news papers which is even more evidence that it could’ve been their journalists behind this.
The Sun has also recently mentioned that Susan had to have someone arrange a phone call with her cat called Pebbles so she could hear the animal purr. Whilst Susan does have some childlike features (which, of course, adds to her wonderful character), this information was coming from The Sun making something as stupid sounding as this quite hard to believe.
The Sun should be sued right up to their hips, not that it will stop them.
