*heh* Reminds me of how I met _my_ Susan: sitting, visiting, in a congregation I heard the most beautiful voice from the choir, located the singer and turned to the young woman sitting next to me and asked, “Who _is_ that?” Turned out the beautiful voice belonged to the room mate of the young woman I asked about her. Met her later and even later became her choir director and… well more than 30 years later she is still my favorite voice.

Susan Boyle may well find another music lover to be her soul mate.

Listening to Susan has taken away the burden of the state of the world as I know it today. With my eyes closed, listening to her voice, I can only imagine that the voice of an angel has fallen upon my ears.

I wish her find a sensible soul mate to share her life.

I do not watch American Idol in spite of living in the USA. But I saw a news bit on this incredible performance on BGT and watched it on You tube. I was at the computer Saturday night, just listeing to American Idol. I briefly glanced at the tube to see Simon look askew at this ordinary woman, who before she even sang, exuded self-confidence. So I turned away, and kept on with my computer work. When Susan began to sing, I did a double take, quickly retuning to the TV. Then, like everyone else, initial disbelief turned to elation, then tears. I wish you all good things Susan, and look forward to hearing you sing.

I wish her all the blessings God can bestow on a nice person. I am a bit concerned, however, that the sharks don’t abuse her; which is what human-sharks love to do, to find a person emotionally starved and slip under their pettycoat, so to speak, to take for themself the luster from the unsuspecting, starving person. What is amazing to me besides the obvious beauty of her voice and soul is how many people around the world have identified with her, we will never know how many millions of tears have been shed over this one performance. how many people have changed their judgements, how many people will now follow their dreams that were packed away, it takes a special kind of person to change the way people think. I am glad that you are taking baby steps because as beautiful as you are, someone is likely to try and sell you a bill of goods and take advantage of you. You don’t need a man (although I understand one would be nice), make sure it is the right man and CHECK HIM OUT THOUROUGHLY. No doubt from this point forward you will have “people” to assist you – pick them wisely and then let them do the job you hire them to do. I thank the Lord for letting me chance upon this video. I always hated when people give so much importance only on the physical attributes of somebody over the goodness of their hearts. Susan, your voice is surely a gift from God. It is pure, lyrical, lovely, and a true joy to hear no matter what song you choose to sing. You mentioned having been bullied — I, too, have been bullied most of my life. It took me 50 years to learn that sometimes God lets these traumas into our lives to make us stronger and stronger and yet to lean on Him, knowing that only God can truly help us and it is the opinion of God alone that matters, not the opinion of people in the world. Just a quick note to say all these horrid comments are not helping, I Know for a fact Susan is talented, in fact shes amazing, I should know because I made her from Paper Mache’ and a fog horn, her moving parts are from a mechano set I had under my bed, and her eyes are a couple of old marbles I stole of my wife sarah brightman, I made her hair out of some old junk I found on the waste land behind my huge mansion.

As a parent I am concerned about the negative impact that people like Susan Boyle have on society and the influence they have on small children. I don’t want my kids growing up in a world where ugly people can achieve stardom and be talented. Only pretty people have the right to do that.
